The Role
Was unable to do a lot of the work due to restrictions. Very tedious work
Team were very welcoming and always appreciative of the work done
Varied between managers. Some much better than others!
Very variable. Some days will be very busy, others fairly boring
Responsibility for own actions but was not actually able to perform the main role of the team due to being an intern
Any placement is useful. By doing this placement I have been able to develop skills that I wouldnt have developed in a diferent role and also gained a lot of valuable knowledge
The Company
Very dependant on the the floor and building you are in. Some far too quiet
Some areas were well organised, others not so well such as software. Other teams had little work for interns to do
A suprising number of top managers gave talks and the first 3 days were training. Could have been more actual training
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Would be a great place to work if I found the right rile
The Culture
Students regularly organised events. Not as much socialising with colleagues
Canary Wharf is always going to be expensive
Mainly bars, should travel further affield for clubs
There was a charity run and a Finance Treasure Hunt
