The Role
I really enjoyed the placement in the company as I was given interesting objectives and clear goals from day one that enabled me to always be busy and learn more. I was also given opportunity to explore different part of the business and be involved in important meeting. Having the clear set objectives and involvement in different projects, I was able to develop my skills as I undertook different task.
I felt like part of the team from day one, my colleagues supported me and gave me guidance and help when needed which made me feel like a valued member.
My manager gave me constant support and guidance to help me learn and complete my objectives. My managers/supervisors were easy to get in touch with and always gave me time when needed. I had regular meeting with them to monitor my progress and get guidance. I was also involved in interesting activities/meeting with them about new opportunities and issues. Having solid support and guidance from them contributed greatly to my experience and skill development.
I was kept busy most of the time at my work. I had my objectives towards my role at the same time I was given responsibility/ ownership of different activities like chairperson of sports committee and organising events and so on. However, my manager ensured i didn't had any overload of work due to the involvement on different activities.
Some of the tasks that were handed over to me have a significant importance and it came with great deal of responsibility. I think these activities made me work under my own incentives to deliver the expected result from my supervisor.
I have improved my interpersonal, data analysis and writing skills through my day to day task which should significantly help me in my final year to produce my reports. I have also built on my confidence level which will help me on my future career aspect.
The Company
The team atmosphere was great within the department I worked, can’t remember a time when it was dull.
The placement was well organised but could have been better. I think it had been for a while my site took in a commercial placement student.
I was involved in different trainings to develop my personal skills where my company had to invest on me. I was also been given opportunity to do different online trainings to develop my skills and knowledge.

Working from home
Yes, I would definitely consider a future career in the company. Possibly have an opportunity for GDF.
The Culture
I didn't socialise with my fellow placement students a lot as there was difference in interest and personality. I had my own social group and didn’t felt as I was left out.
I think it was reasonalbe as per the area.
Only had few night clubs around the area however had travel to get to some good clubs.
There were some activities to get involve outside the work. We had different committees organising different activities every month.
