The Role
Very supportive team. Some tasks a bit tedious but most were engaging.
Was given a surprising amount of responsibility.
Line manager and buddy system very useful in making progress.
Project based work made busyness variable.
Was trusted with technical work from 1st week.
Great for data analysis, GIS and report writing.
The Company
Relaxed, but felt like it could be more sociable.
Was kept well informed before starting and have been engaged with a wide variety of projects.
Colleagues have taken time out to teach me things about software packages and financial management.
Flexi Time
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Strong. They seem very keen on attracting new starters, and many current employees were previously summer students.
The Culture
Emerging. Only a view socials but a view to increase them in future.
Cambridge is expensive but it's not too bad for me as I'm local.
No good without the students.
Yes but I live here anyway.
