  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was challenging but incredibly insightful; they clearly put a lot of effort into the organisation of such a scheme.

    • My supervisor was fantastic; he trusted me with a lot of responsibility but was there to answer any questions I had.

    • I gained a much broader insight into the legal and business world and put my studies into a lot more context.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • We were given a timetable on the first day - everything was so well planned out from the word go.

    • One of the most friendly firms I have been in.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • We had a number of training sessions for Westlaw, PLC, Lexis Library as well as IT training and how to use the knowledge centre.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • Spending 3 weeks in the same department allowed us to really integrate into the office and feel like we really belonged there.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • We were reimbursed with expenses plus more.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • They provided two socials with all the current trainees, as well as a 'partner lunch' and leaving drinks.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?

    • The trainees organised two social events - one bowling and the other a meal and a trip to the comedy club. Both were really enjoyable after the pressures of the day.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • While I was there, many of the office took part in the Yorkshire 3 peak challenge and a couple of charity events.
