The Role
I enjoyed the work I was given but didn't have enough to do
Everyone was more than friendly but I didn't feel trusted to complete slightly more challenging tasks
The guidance I received was excellent
I did not have enough work to do
I felt that the work I was being asked to do was very simplistic, although I was given other tasks not relating to KPMG work that allowed me to show my skills
My IT skills and presentation skills in particular improved
The Company
Everyone was very easygoing and easy to talk to
I was actually told to come in for the wrong hours at the start of the placement.
Due to the fact it was only 4 weeks, the firm invested a suitable amount of time in me. However, I feel that I would have liked a bit more help on the technical side of things to allow me to do more complex work
Subsidised Canteen
International Travel
The career trajectory within the company is very clear
The Culture
There were just 3 interns in the entire office, so it was hard to organise anything between us
Already living fairly near by was very helpful, and the prices were no worse than other areas of London
Similar to that of my university, there is plenty to go to in the area
I was told there were loads of societies and clubs but I never found them. Perhaps I did not know where to look
