The Role
At times I was left with nothing to do, but when I was given work it was mostly interesting.
I sensed that because I had no experience or training that I wasn't that helpful for some things, which is understandable.
If I needed any help I could always get it by just asking my colleagues or my buddy.
Here and there.
On one small project, there was just three of us working on it so I had a fair amount of responsibility in that aspect.
Even spending juts four weeks on this internship has helped me immensely in terms of experiencing working life and what parts of the job entails.
The Company
Quite a serious working atmosphere, but not so there wasn't any social aspect to it.
No real structure, which can be taken as good or bad I guess. At times I had no work to do, and no socials were organised for interns.
The induction day was a very general overview of what the teams did, but when in the office colleagues were always willing to help out and teach you things.
Subsidised Canteen
KPMG have the best support network for trainees, therefore increasing the chance of successfully completing qualifications such as ACA.
The Culture
We tried many a time to organise social events, but it was hard to get everyone at the same place sometimes.
Canary Wharf.
Wasn't really a nightlife, more of an early evening life.
Only there for 4 weeks, wouldn't really know.
