The Role
Really enjoyable, 6 weeks is a perfect length of time.
My teams never gave me insignificant jobs.
Loads of support from everyone is my team, whether it be someone the year above or a manager everyone was willing to help.
At the start of the audit sometimes there wasn't much for me to do because certain deliverables were not available and the ones that we had access to were above my knowledge.
I was working on real clients and was doing real work that's going to be used.
It's improved my IT skills dramatically which will be useful anywhere after my degree.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly, obviously very busy with work but i felt welcome.
The preocess of getting the internship was quite long but each phase was well organised. The few training days that i attended throughout the 6 weeks were well organised and in lovely hotels.
3 days training at the start of the process, 1 day at the 3 week mark then a round up day (not so much training but conclusion) in the last week.
If i was offered a job i would more than likely take it.
The Culture
There was only myself and another intern at my office so it was slightly different experience to some of the bigger offices. But we got on really well.
Stayed in my university house.
Southampton
There wasn't any social events whilst i was there which was a shame. There was one the week before and the week after my intern so they do go on.
