The Role
I have really enjoyed the internship. I feel it has gone over and above my expectations and I’ve had a variety of opportunities during my time here.
I’ve been able to meet and work with a fantastic group of people. Everyone has been really nice and I feel like I have been looked after. I always felt like I could ask anyone a question.
My people manager was great. She was really friendly and helpful. We met up every other week to discuss how I was getting on and whether there were any problems. She was very approachable.
For the majority of my time here there was something for me to do with only a few days where I struggled to find work. I did find that to get work, you had to ask around however everyone was very approachable so this was easy to do.
I’m glad that there was always work for me to do with the majority of the work given to me being challenging but within my capability. I got the opportunity to sit in on group meetings, shadow other members of staff and experience going to a client’s office. I feel I’ve really been able to get a good idea of what sort of activities occur on a daily basis within the department.
During the internship I have improved my technique for writing emails within a business. I have also improved my report writing, my skills with excel and had the chance to create presentations. I received a lot of training both online and one-to-one to help me with my daily tasks at PwC.
The Company
Everyone was friendly but in my particular department they have been quite quiet. Everyone tends to just get on with work which is of course good but there could have been a bit more fun incorporated in it.
Incredibly well organised. I always new where to be and when and what was going on.
They offered me a job today which I accepted
The Culture
I went out with the other interns regurlarly. We all really got on!
Cheaper than London but as we were going out on Friday night predominantly, still wasn't super cheap.
Birmingham has a wide variety of places to go out.
As I was only there for 6 weeks, I didn't get the opportunity to get involved in activities outside of work.
