The Role
It was good because I got a good overview of how the investment division works and how the different teams worked together on projects.
I was given adequate support during my internship and the mentors were always willing to help when I asked them.
I was not too busy but the work load was enough to keep you active and engaged throughout the day.
During an internship you can't expect to be involved in all of the work the team does but I felt that I was able to help out in some small way when asked to be involved.
Perhaps the skills I developed will help me in my future jobs more than in my degree studies as the skills and intuitions I developed in Towers Watson can be utilised better in a work environment than in university.
The Company
It was a mixture of fun and seriousness in right mixture. An engaging experience.
Given that it was a 6 week internship I didn't expect much but I realised quickly that if you had an appetite to learn more about the work then people were more than welcome to teach you.

The Culture
Yes very much so. Drinks, dinner, movies, you name it, we've done it.
Yes. If you ask around I'm sure you can get involved in sports and other social activities.
