The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed my placement. During my 6 weeks, I developed a real understanding of what a graduate job would entail and the work that PwC undertakes.
Everyone was very friendly and happy to help.
The support was fantastic. I received plenty of coaching and guidance throughout my placement to ensure that I understood my tasks/role.
How busy I was depended on the client. Within public sector audit, you can be waiting for information for a while, but bar that relatively busy and always had tasks to complete.
Yes, during my time, I had to communicate with clients and complete tasks that are actually part of the audit procedure.
All of the skills gained during my internship will be extremely useful in a graduate job.
The Company
Everyone was really friendly and happy to talk to you.
Very well organised - had a detailed schedule for my whole internship.
Plenty of resources and training time dedicated to interns.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Excellent!
The Culture
Yes - plenty of opportunities to socialise and meet fellow interns. Social events were a lot of fun and well organised.
Wales is relatively inexpensive - so socialising were quite a regular thing.
Cardiff offers lots of places to socialise from pubs in Cathays to clubs within the centre.
Lots of staff events such as lunches, dinners, sports, month end drinks and staff BBQ.
