The Role
I enjoyed pretty much every minute - I can think of so few downsides!
Colleagues were kind and welcoming - they gave really positive feedback and points for development, and often commented on how helpful the work I was doing was - I felt like I was actually being of use!
I was regularly contacted to check on how I was doing - and my questions were always well recieved and quickly answered!
Occasionally I felt like I didn't have anything to do, but I think this was just the nature of the business. It rarely lasted for more than an hour, and then I was given more work to do - especially when I requested it!
Colleagues commented that the work I was doing would normally be given to a first year graduate, rather than an intern - so I felt valued and responsible!
Skills that can be applied to a career in the same field, particularly in terms of business awareness.
The Company
Work hard, play hard! The social aspect was great - lots of fun questions to keep the day interesting, but also doing the necessary work! Everyone was kind, and welcoming, and made an effort to make me feel included!
Lots of training and develpoment - a three day induction event to get some basic training and meeting other interns, as well as ongoing online training. Howeve, the on-the-job training was most useful and most effective.
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
As we were fairly spread out, this was difficult - it would have been appreciated if a social event was orgainised by the programme midway through.,
