  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Really enjoyed my time on the placement.

    • I felt adequately valued.

    • I received really great support from my assigned "Trainee Buddy" and the rest of my department. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and no question was made to sound like a stupid question.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I learned so many things that I feel will benefit me in my future career, particularly as a trainee solicitor.

    • The placement was extremely well structured and so I felt that I received a taster of all aspects of the firm.

    • The atmosphere in my department was really welcoming and friendly and I generally felt very included.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • I felt that my supervisor during my placement was really invested in my development. We set objectives which I hoped to attain during my three weeks with the firm and she helped to ensure that I achieved those objectives.

    • The placement gave me a great opportunity to see what it would be like to work there full time.

    • We received many presentations and information sessions about the firm, which really helped in grasping its culture.

    • I was paid.

    • There were many opportunities to meet people from across the firm - this was an aspect of the placement which was very well organised.

    • Yes, I would most certainly recommend this placement to a friend. It was an excellent opportunity.
