About You
I enjoyed the placement very much, although I found the first week a bit intimidating I definitely settled in after that.
I always felt that my work was appreciated and looked at. I never felt that I was doing remidal tasks.
My trainee buddy and supervisor were incredibly supportive about any queries I had.
It has taught me what is relevant in my future studies and how what I learn at University applies in the work place.
The Company
We had a timetable for each day so everyone knew where they had to be at what times.
Everyone was really friendly and welcoming.
I received extensive training on my first day especially. The firm spent a lot of time teaching us about the values of the firm and the working culture. We were trained throughout the placement.
The work that I undertook was very similar to what I would be doing if I join the firm as a trainee solicitor.
Being integrated in the company gave a great insight to the culture of the fim.
Everything Else
I was paid full time wages
There were many social events organised. These allowed us to meet people from all areas of the firm.
There were social events arranged regularly. They were well organised and a lot of fun.
We heard about outside initiatives that the firm run such as the Corporate Responsibility aspects.
Yes, i tis a good way to learn about working in a commercial law firm environment.
