The Role
Let just say- there wasn't a day where I woke up in the morning and thought I hate work, or I can't be bothered. I enjoyed every day there- and thats the truth!
My colleagues were a pleasure to work with, they never treated me has a student. they gave me the same tasks as everyone else. Everyone is open and friendly, its very casual so you can chat to anyone- whether it be the director or a colleague in another department.
The support overall was fantastic! My manager mentored me, but if I didn't understand anything I always felt comfortable asking colleagues in my team or in the department for help and guidance.
There were times where I was very busy and other times where I wasn't.
I would say I was given the same resonsibility has my team members, but I would have liked more.
With the expereince I gained, my understanding in an IT has vastly improved. I understand aspects of the IT world better than I did when I studied the subject at university, i.e. from Black box testing to networking. I also had the opportunity to work in other teams; BA, Devlopment, and Cognos.
The Company
its a fun place to work in! from the decor to the people :)
I think this is where Disney fell behind for me, I didn't receive any Off-the-job training. I would of thought with working in a huge organisation there would be some investment in training? Maybe it was the recession? or maybe I was just unlucky...
Company Parties/Events
I think this is the company for me!
The Culture
