The Role
I enjoyed the internship but the work became repetitive after a couple of weeks.
I was treated equally by most colleagues.
Lots of support and guidance through weekly meetings with my people manager.
I was kept very busy nearly everyday except towards of the end of the internship.
Not given much responsibility.
I learnt a lot about corporate tax and the industry.
The Company
Depended on where in the office one sat. Much more relaxed and chatty amongst the junior members than with the managers.
Extremely well organised although more information could have been given regarding the development day and last day.
We had several online training sessions to complete about general compliance and behaviour in the workplace. Nothing specific to tax except a general overview at the beginning.
Company Parties/Events
Would have been interested in the long term due to the value of gaining accountancy qualifications but short-term work didn't look very appealing.
The Culture
Fairly good
Very expensive place to live and socialise in due to its proximity to London.
Didn't experience any.
A few opportunities but it wasn't clear if interns could participate.
