The Role
Really enjoyed the atmospher around the office, I worked on one project throughout the placement so there was a real continuity to my work
I was made to feel part of the team from the outset
I did make a couple of mistakes, but my manager just told me what I had done wrong and how to correct it. I made sure I didn't make the same mistake twice!
Really busy, after the first few days I had a constant stream of things to do everyday
Most of the work I did was checked over by someone else to start with, but later on in the internship I was responsible for sections and the team decided to change something in that section, I would be responsible for making sure that happened
All the skills I learnt will help me in the furture I'm sure
The Company
Quite a happy atmosphere. Everyone was very proffessional and hardworking, but everyone would stop and have a little chat everyone once in a while
I think I was lucky in my division (strategy) that it was well organised, I think some other areas weren't as well done
No official training, but this comes in the grad programme
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Travel loan
Really appealing, sounds like a good grad programme and the department does some really exciting work
The Culture
KPMG could have organised a bit more, but it was mainly left to the interns to get together for drinks etc
Pretty expensive, but thats always the case in London
Had to catch a tube to central London if you want a club, but pretty good
Not really
