About You
It was exciting and choosing my career path became easier
The culture of the Bank of England is sublime, the welfare and togetherness of the staff was visible. I felt very welcome , free and happy. It's a job I want to begin and retire in .
I received numerous application process support. The smallest of details on how to successfully apply and for my application to stand out. It was a well spent day.
I have completed my degree but no knowledge is ever wasted. The group activity and the trading activity basically created a new awareness in me on the skills I needed to work on and develop. Efficient team work, knowledge on the functions on the bank are the skills that will help me proper in my career.
The Company
The insight program was well planned . Properly time managed and well organised. We had access to rest rooms and also refreshments. The panel meeting was the icing on the cake.
Awesome, prestigious, exciting. I want to work there everyday of my life .
The trading game and group exercise improved my background knowledge of the activities of the Bank
The breakdown of the organisational structure and the activities of each directorate made it easier to know where I would fit within the organisation.
Extremely helpful because the culture brought to light the pros and cons of working to make money without being happy as seen in investment banks and working to be happy and having a balanced life as is the case with the Bank of England. Work ethnics was highest to none because of the impact of their work on society.
Everything Else
There was the opportunity to claim expenses up to the tune of £35 but I am local and didn't claim.
Yes there was a panel session where we had a chat with 6 staff who answered general questions.
At the end of the insight day there were networking opportunities but the staff that came to see us were quite few about 5 for 23 of us.
Yes they are like family. The organise karaoke nights and picnics. Absolutely fun place to work
Absolutely, I would recommend it. It's an eye opener for academics who want clarification on selecting a career path.
