About You
The staff where very helpful and welcoming and provided lots of useful insight on the Bank as well as their personal carrier paths. It was also a great opportunities to meet new people.
I felt the Bank went to a great effort to organise the day so it ran smoothly which gave a good impression, staff where happy to give up their time to answer any questions we had which they did very honestly.
The day was well structured and with lots of opportunities for questions
I found the information provided was very informative in terms of considering different carrier paths and understanding the opportunities available at the bank and how we would fit in to these. There was also lots of information on application processes not just for the Bank but in general which I found useful, although sometimes I felt simple points where over explained.
The Company
I felt the insight was extremely well organised which gave good flow throughout the day making good use of the limited time available. There where also adequate breaks throughout the day which where good.
It was generally very relaxed atmosphere, we where never put under any particulate pressure except encouraged to interact during the day as much as possible which generally people did well, although some people I felt should have considered what they want to get out of the day more before to improve this. Also as i mentioned earlier I felt some of the presentations, particularly parts about the application process where dragged out a bit which made it boring at times.
The time given up by different staff from all around the bank was everything I had hoped to receive. Although I feel a presentation from someone more senior at the bank could have added a lot to the day.
I had the opportunity to speak to people who where currently in the roll which I was interested in applying to which really helped me to understand more about it and learn what qualities and characteristics where suited to that role. I found this very helpful.
General presentations on the bank gave a good all round understanding of the banks culture. Also meeting staff from all different areas in the bank allowed us to learn more specifically about work life balance and their personal experiences. All the staff where very honest about both the good and bad points which gave a good impression and made me realise new things about the Bank and industry.

up to £35 towards travel expenses
Lots of networking opportunities throughout the day including drinks at the end of the day which was a nice way to finish the day. Current employees also joined us for lunch and drinks as well as giving more formal presentations.
Very relaxed but still insightful, easy to talk to everyone also food and drinks where provided
I don't remember this being a relevant point during the insight day
To anyone considering a career in the banking or finance sector I would defiantly recommend this, especially if you are unsure exactly what path to follow. Lots of information is provided and its a great opportunity to take away from.
