The Role
The people were nice and when I was kept busy it was fun but that only lasted abotu 2/3 weeks
The people working there were lovely really nice people but made it very clear that I was just an intern
In the first few weeks there were lots of 1:1s whilst I got settled in, after that I was pretty much left on my own will little guidance of what to do
I was given a book of things to complete, after I had finished them after the first few weeks I was given nothing extra to do - the only oppertunities were to shadow more people which got a bit tedious after a while or go out on the floor helping customers which was useless as I couldn't do anything because I wasn't given any authorisation or training
I was given no oppertunity to help or have responsibility, none was offered or given when I enquired
I have learnt how to keep myself busy and improve my people skills
The Company
The staff were really friendly and always up for a laugh
No guidance was given other than an introductary booklet, there was no passwords or account set up for me on arrival and there was even problems with HMRC due to the forms I filled out beforhand not being sent on internally
There was mandatory learning that I had to complete at the start
I would consider a job with this company in the future but definately in a different area
The Culture
There were no events organised whilst I was there
It's north so it's quite cheap
Good, nothing too special though as it's only a small city
There were oppertunities for volunteering during my time and a mandatory day was spent volunteering in Manchester
