The Role
The work was very enjoyable, sometimes got a bit repetitive but it's never avoidable.
I felt as if I had been in the team for a long time, not just for a few weeks.
I was given thorough guidance in the few days of my internship. From then on, I had to ask lots of questions and sometimes anticipate what I had to do to be successful in my role.
Most of the time I had plenty of various tasks to complete which made time pass by very quickly, however, approximately once a week there wasn't really much too do.
I didn't expect to be given so much responsibility. The success of 2 projects was highly dependant on the quality of my work.
Although my role wasn't technical at all and the skills I've developed won't help me with my degree, I've incredibly developed soft skills that are will prove invaluable in any future job.
The Company
Very pleasant and fairly laid-back
Everything very well planned for me, however some were complaining that their managers didn't have a plan what the interns could do
I only had one training (company specific) but I didn't really need much else.
My manager assured me that he's welcome to recommend me and I should have no problem with joining the graduate scheme if I want to.
The Culture
Most of the interns lived together in the same accommodation, but I met hardly any interns at work
It's Coventry so the cost of living was very cheap compared to what I'm used to in Oxford, not to mention London.
I preferred to leave coventry if I wanted to have a night out
Not much really
