The Role
Really enjoyed it, a great atmosphere in the department.
I was given a broad range of work varying in difficulty, I felt as though the work I was doing was valued and was a genuine contribution to the department.
Couldn't fault it, everyone would always stop and help if I was struggling and I felt I could ask the entire department for guidance.
Within the early weeks I would have to find work however I quickly became constantly occupied with a range of work but was not overwhelmed.
I was often given challenging tasks and given work from a range of people that really gave me a sense of responsibility
My degree is not related to the internship so some skills learned such as tax legislation will not help. However, I have developed other skills such as communication and professional etiquette that will be of much use in the future.
The Company
Great atmosphere, everyone is so friendly and up for a laugh. I was surprised at the amount of partner interaction as they join in with everything else going on.
Good structure and everyone seemed to know who I was and what sort of knowledge I had. Had a presentation at the end of the internship that myself and the other intern could get on with if we didn't have much work on.
Couldn't fault it.
Company Parties/Events
Fingers crossed
The Culture
Numerous socials including bowling, pub quiz, drinks, watching world cup.
It was expensive, but that was expected.
Good range of bars but pricey...Only went to one club but was good.
Both a triathlon and weekly football took place during my placement.
