The Role
A very welcoming and relaxed working environment, however everyone is still driven and results are pushed for. Reflects the successful, rapidly expanding company that JLR is,
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, my progress was regularly checked and they listened to my opinions
Any questions at all everyone was always happy to help, sitting near to my manager no doubt helped this too!
Not a problem with JLR so much as being an intern, how busy I was tended to fluctuate based on what time of the month t was, as a lot of the work I did was month-end
Although I didn't have a huge number of projects, I had a good degree of autonomy and responsibilty over the ones that I had
Excel skills have increase exponentially! Other skills such as working in a business environment and time management have also improved
The Company
Very friendly, never a dull day in the office
JLR really have an excellent internship process. Everything was well managed and taken care of
The opportunities for training and investment in you are there, but they are not perhaps promoted as much as they could be. I would not fault JLR for this however as I was only there for 3 months!
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
It is much easier to apply to the graduate scheme if you have previously completed the internship
The Culture
There was a good social scene yes, this was helped by the graduate scheme being faily close knit definitely
Coventry and the surrounding areas are all very reasonable to go out in
Being a student town the nightlife was good, only got to experience Friday/Saturday nights however
JLR offer an employee scheme to sponsor activities outside of work, which was great!
