The Role
When there was work to do it was very interesting and I was trusted to complete tasks on my own however there were periods with very little work to be done.
When I could be sent away to do task for my colleagues I felt just like a regular member of the team however a lot of time was spent just watching others do there work during this time I felt valued less.
Managers and supervisors were very busy and most of my tasks and guidance was handed over to other members of the team
The work was fairly intermittent so varied from being very busy to having nothing to do but in general it leaned towards having less to do.
At some points I was given just as much responsibility as other members of the team but these occasions were fairly rare.
The skills which I learned where very specific to the job I was doing however the processes learned will be valuable in the future. There was also very good opportunities to go on courses to learn other skills.
The Company
The office itself was fairly generic however the people in it made an effort to make me feel welcome and there was a good team spirit. In the first month there was a team night out arranged to welcome a few new people, including me, who had joined the team.
The application process and first day was very well organised however there was no real plan for the work I was to do when on the placement. I was just expected to pick up jobs from people on the team and attempt to integrate.
I went on a training course which would have cost around £500, which I was able to get for free through the company. This course was very easy to apply for and there were little hoops to jump through in order to get onto it.

Uncertain, as it seems that the company varies greatly from department to department however it has not put me off.
The Culture
Good community among the other placement students as the majority where living together, which meant that there was Well a lot of things to do at the weekend.
Fairly cheap as the accommodation was given at a special rate due to the placement and nights out could be had at a fairly cheap cost.
Better than expected but not amazing.
Yes, if you wanted to.
