The Role
I have really enjoyed my placement year with SAP. The role has really helped me to develop on my interpersonal skills as well as learning how to be professional in a work environment.
I feel that my managers have definitely relied on my work and have high expectations, especially when meeting the deadline for tasks.
Whenever i had a query that i did not know how to approach, my managers and supervisors were always willing to show me what to do.
I would say that for most my time at SAP i have been busy, however i think this is because i have also seeked for more work too.
I am the first line of support in the operations team for the Business Analytics team for SAP, so i definitely feel this has given me a large responsibility.
Overall, i feel that my organisation and time management skills have improved as in my role it is important to priorities work and keep to the deadline.
The Company
The atmosphere is good. The work environment is friendly and relaxed. The whole office has recently been redesigned so we have a great new work environment.
We were given a good 4 week's training before entering the role properly. The Intern Project group (previous interns) set up the onboarding process where we all have 2 weeks of presentations and activities.
I was not really given any paid training. Most of my training and development was taught on the job.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
The company does not have a proper graduate scheme after the placement year, so in terms of future employment, it will be quite difficult.
The Culture
There is a strong intern community and we all have good relationships with one another.
I was living from home so home. Socialising in Central london on the weekends and after work can be quite costly though.
