    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A very interesting insight into the company and how it works. A great team of people and a vibrant atmosphere.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • They treated me no differently than any other colleague, very welcoming and inclusive. I created good relationships very quickly.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My boss was extremely supportive and went above and beyond to cater for my needs.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very sporadic workload, which ranged from comfortable to having nothing to do. I raised this with my boss however and I am finding myself happily occupied with more work.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Given great responsibility considering the short time I was there. Lots of room for initiative too.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Very useful skills were developed as a result of the work I have done. Plus the extensive training courses I have been able to attend, has allowed me to learn vast amounts.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A very good atmosphere, friendly and warm people who were willing to have fun alongside work.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There seemed to be no clear direction or goals to achieve during my internship. It was improvising day by day rather than a clear 3 month structured programme.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • My boss allowed me to attend multiple training courses that would be useful for my ongoing development. Moreover, the Employee Learning Scheme allocated me £200 to help me pursue my personal development.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • This is a great company to work for, with the right atmosphere. A full-time job with proper workload would be a fantastic prospect. JLR favour Internship holders for the graduate position, which is a great bonus.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a good social scene between other colleagues (meals out etc), which was perfect for me.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Leamington and Warwick are expensive town/cities, but with a JLR internship wage, it more than accommodates for higher living costs.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • It accommodated my needs sufficiently.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There are opportunities through the Employee Learning Scheme to do whatever you like.

    5/5
