The Role
A very interesting insight into the company and how it works. A great team of people and a vibrant atmosphere.
They treated me no differently than any other colleague, very welcoming and inclusive. I created good relationships very quickly.
My boss was extremely supportive and went above and beyond to cater for my needs.
Very sporadic workload, which ranged from comfortable to having nothing to do. I raised this with my boss however and I am finding myself happily occupied with more work.
Given great responsibility considering the short time I was there. Lots of room for initiative too.
Very useful skills were developed as a result of the work I have done. Plus the extensive training courses I have been able to attend, has allowed me to learn vast amounts.
The Company
A very good atmosphere, friendly and warm people who were willing to have fun alongside work.
There seemed to be no clear direction or goals to achieve during my internship. It was improvising day by day rather than a clear 3 month structured programme.
My boss allowed me to attend multiple training courses that would be useful for my ongoing development. Moreover, the Employee Learning Scheme allocated me £200 to help me pursue my personal development.
This is a great company to work for, with the right atmosphere. A full-time job with proper workload would be a fantastic prospect. JLR favour Internship holders for the graduate position, which is a great bonus.
The Culture
There was a good social scene between other colleagues (meals out etc), which was perfect for me.
Leamington and Warwick are expensive town/cities, but with a JLR internship wage, it more than accommodates for higher living costs.
It accommodated my needs sufficiently.
There are opportunities through the Employee Learning Scheme to do whatever you like.
