The Role
Very interesting, especially at the start. However, the variety of work was minimal after the first month.
Very welcoming and accepting
I had an supervisor initially who had lots of time for me and was very helpful and supportive. After my first month he left the company, and my manager was very busy so had little time for me.
Often very busy with much to do, but occasionally had periods of waiting on other people for data, with not much else to do.
I was given the sole responsibility of my own project, with very little direction from others.
Constantly increasing technical knowledge, whilst also improving more general skills such as research, organisation etc.
The Company
Very friendly environment with plenty of chat between work.
Some issues with the company system and access cards etc. In terms of work, there was a project brief already in place and an introductory set of tasks etc.
Supervisor taught me the basics of a piece of software. No other training applied for.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Good atmosphere and grad scheme, interesting work and competitive salary
The Culture
Lived at home and commuted to save money, so can't really comment on this, but know that the other interns enjoyed all living together.
