The Role
I had fun all through. The analysts and associates around my desk were awesome. For every question I asked them, they answered and taught me something new. We would chat about everything and everything.
I was never treated as an intern but like a valuable member of the firm.
My development officer and HR representative were very helpful. I had a weekly report sent to them and a bi-monthly catchup just so I could talk about any challenge I was facing and the way forward.
The system in place now at BAML is a good one. it is one that monitors the activities of every intern and allocates job to them based on their available free/busy capacity. So, at any time I never had too little or too much to do.
Fair and balanced responsibility
I have indeed developed skills for life. Ability to work under pressure, determination not to make the same mistake twice, confidence to speak with superiors or anybody, improvement in commercial awareness, improvement in excel and powerpoint skills.....all these can never be taken away from me again.
The Company
Mostly fun. But can sometimes be on the quiet side because everyone is busy.
Very well organised and well planned. All the events and speaker series session we had were really helpful in aiding our understanding of the business of each team.
They invested really well. From AMT training, to bloomberg training.......many thanks to the management

Chances of getting a job with the firm are very good as long as you dont do anything stupid and are willing to learn.
The Culture
Yes there was but not regularly.
Fair enough.
Very good.
Yes there was. I took part in the One touch Rugby game. Some other interns took part in some volunteering work.
