The Role
Constantly kept busy with very interesting work and also had time to go and talk to people from different departments to learn more about the setup of the company.
Not only do you sit in a team and get invited out to drinks and events, but you also spend a lot of time talking to people from all the others teams.
It's an 'open door' policy and hence you can approach any senior at any point for either a general chat, career advice or find out more about the team.
Often work can come in floods, but it teaches you to balance and manage time very well!
It is difficult to give us a load of responsibility but I was creating bits of work that were being sent directly to clients which was very interesting.
Having never worked in finance before, the learning platform here is unbeatable!
The Company
Work hard, play hard. Throughout the day it's very busy but later on in the evening there are plenty of social events.
One or two areas where there was some slack time but kept very busy and engaged otherwise.
There is a definite feeling that they are investing a lot of time into the interns here.

It's a very good setup and great opportunities to move around the company as well as progressing your career.
The Culture
There was a good range of social events throughout the 9 weeks, both between interns as well as mixing with seniors from the bank.
Given it is in the heart of London, it can be pretty pricey.
It is very easy to find places to go, especially if you are in a group of people from the internship.
There were plenty of other opportunities available throughout the internship - campus recruitment organised it very well.
