The Role
Overall I learnt a lot and I am glad I chose to do a placement year at SAP, though it was a struggle at times!
There are lot of people within the organisation that really want you to do well and are happy to support you.
I found A LOT of great support from people outside of my supervisor!
There are lots of projects/ opportunities you can get involved with that are really worthwhile and kept me more than busy.
In addition to my main role, I was able to run some of the extra projects I took on which helped me develop my project management skills and network with other departments.
I always had to use my own initiative and think creatively, and was constantly pushed out of my comfort zone, opportunities I did not get at university.
The Company
I had a great rapport with my team as well as other departments, I found everyone really welcoming when I started and really approachable when I needed something. There is always something going on that you can involved in!
There was a good level of organisation.
There were lots of opportunities throughout the year to complete online training as well as the initial on-boarding month.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Great if you are interested in working within sales!
The Culture
There is a great intern community at SAP, one of the best parts of the year! There is always something going on & everyone is always welcome! I also had lots of opportunities to socialize with my team.
For London it was pretty reasonable.
You generally need to travel to surrounding areas to socialize.
There are currently sports teams which lots of the interns are involved with, it is also a great environment if you wish to set something up yourself!
