The Role
I enjoyed every part of my placement year. ProspectSoft not only offer a lot of responsibility but also a fun young team who are great to work with.
Your opinions are always listened to no matter what level you are at and this really makes you feel like you can make an impact.
The managers and directors doors were always open, there was always somebody to ask if you were struggling. I had the pleasure of working alongside the sales and marketing director, meaning I was often trusted to make my own decisions but always had the opportunity to double check things.
As my role was so vast, there was always something to do, whether this was a set task by one of the managers or if it were something that I knew needed to be done. It is definitely better to be busy at work rather than bored.
I couldn't have asked for more responsibility and was always very happy to recieve more. Working with the sales and marketing director gave me a lot of freedom to put ideas across and be given many big opportunities.
I think you learn more on your placement year than you do in any time at university, so much so that I am basing my dissertation on ProspectSoft.
The Company
A great atmosphere in the sales and marketing office!
ProspectSoft have developed a finely tuned placement scheme over the years. From the intense training at the start to monitoring personal development throughout, it really works alongside university requirements.
If there was something you wished to take on then all you had to do was ask, ProspectSoft want you to develop as well and will give all the opportunities to help you.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered and accepted a returning position with the company and am very excited to go back!
The Culture
Although I did not live in Oxford (where most placements tend to live) there was always and invite or somewhere to stay and I loved making the most of this. As it is a young company most employees enjoy a good night out!
Most live towards Oxford, but High Wycombe is another option and is cheaper.
Oxford is a great night out, High Wycombe was great for shopping, cinema and eating out.
There was always something going on!
