The Role
The placement offered an opportunity to experience real responsibility. You are given important tasks with the opportunity to see tangible results.
All employees see the intern community as an important building block for early talent. The team that i worked within was particularly welcoming, working with a good sense of humour in a professional and structured environment.
There is a clear focus on the importance of performing within your job role, but all colleagues are devoted and welcoming when it comes to aiding the development of the intern community.
SAP operates under an unwritten 60:40 ratio - whereby interns are expected to spend about 60% of their time on their daily duties, leaving 40% open to developing understanding elsewhere in the company. As with all working responsibility,
SAP offer the opportunity to work in a real job and really makes you feel like you are making a difference. From day 1 you are given this sense of responsibility, and leading on from this, you are given the chance to tailor your role to suit the demands of both the company and your own personal development needs.
I couldn't stress how useful a placement year with SAP has been. The business environment is fast paced and interesting, allowing me to develop my skills and learn how to become adaptable and flexible - something that you can't learn sitting in a lecture theatre at University!

The intern communtiy is very strong and full of like-minded people. This has fuelled a successful and colourful socail scene amongst members.
The nightlife in the immediate area isn't too exciting, however we are just a stones throw away from Central London, which offers some of the best nightlife in the country!
