The Role
The 10 week summer internship at MUS was a great experience. Apart from the interesting challenges faced in an IB, MUS stands out for its corporate values. As an intern I highly benefit from a work environment which is defined by partnership, integrity and performance.
Accountability is an integral part of MUS’ corporate values. As such I was asked to take responsibility for my actions and received wide responsibility from day one on. In this regards the constant feedback by my colleagues was very helpful as it helped me to review my progress against my objectives.
The support and guidance I received at MUS was excellent. Besides a one week training session focused on Capital Markets right at the beginning of the program, I received extensive training on the desk training. Due to the broad guidance I was able to quickly get used to the work flow and support my colleagues.
Considering the challenging work environment of IB I was quite busy during my internship. Nevertheless the amount of work never reached a point at which I was unable to cope with the tasks faced. I rather think that the work load was appropriate and allowed me to learn a lot in a very short time.
The responsibility I was given during my internship was great. From day one on I felt as part of the team and was able to work closely with colleagues.
The training I received during an one week training right at the beginning of the internship as well as in the due course of the program at the desk was great and helped me to understand the market conveniences, which often deviate from what you learn a BSchool. Going back to BSchool I’ll now be able to link the academic as well as business side of capital markets.
The Company
Corporate values are highly prised at MUS. Values such as partnership and integrity foster a collaborative and at the same time challenging working environment.
The 10 week programme was very well organized. It started with a one week training session, followed by various meetings with senior management as well as training sessions and networking events.
During the 10 week internship at MUS I really felt part of the firm. The extent of training and support I received from all of my colleagues was superb.

The bank invests a lot of efforts and resources into its interns and is thus willed to build a solid base of well trained juniors.
The Culture
The group of interns I was part of was great. Having different academic backgrounds we all benefitted from each other and were able to create a supportive environment.
