The Role
I get the impression that the culture at BAML is better than some of its competitors. Training / speakers / social events were frequent and very well organised. I like the office location and building a lot. Work environment is fun and sociable, you meet lots of interesting people.
My colleagues were friendly. I loved being part of a large intake of summer analysts and the social events organised by HR were great. I was writing my MSc dissertation at the time of my internship and received useful advice on this from several colleagues although they didn't have to help me.
My mentor was very helpful and easy to talk to. He always made time for me, was very organised and did in fact help me when I had a query regarding taking annual leave during the internship.
I wasn't idle or too busy - perfect.
Perfect amount in my view.
I am very happy to have experienced the working environment of a sales and trading floor. I met lots of people that I look up to and made new friends.
The Company
Exciting. I loved meeting new people.
Very well organised
Major investment was made in organising the internship - training, events, speakers. Lots of optional events for networking with the business.

I am in a growing department that does not seem to be facing redundancies.
The Culture
I enjoyed the social events amongst the interns a lot. Lots of free food and drinks. Frequent work barbeques and drinks up on the roof terrace of our building.
Not cheap but this is London. Comany social events provided free entry / food / drinks.
Great
I did some CSR and took part in a community day during the internship.
