The Role
The job role offered the variety in tasks that I was looking for which meant no day was the same
I was like any other member of the team and building up trust meant my responsibility increased throughout the year
I had regular a 1:1 scheduled with my manager to discuss anything I was currently involved in as well as any other issues. The managers are very approachable and were keen to support my personal development over the year.
I was given plenty of tasks to keep me occupied but was encouraged not to take on unachievable work loads to prevent stress
As the year progressed my responsibility increased and I have plenty of examples where I was given the autonomy to make important decisions, present my own ideas and solely manage campaigns.
My year of Placement at SAP has been invaluable and I can anticipate my newly gained knowledge will translate into a better understanding of business, beneficial for my degree and in later life.
The Company
Everyone is very friendly and approachable in the office. Although there is a corporate aspect, socializing is easy to come by.
Support is easily accessible if needed and interns are given the freedom to set up their own societies/opportunities within the company and it's partners. One of the best aspects is that the recruitment process is managed by interns and therefore grants another experience to be gained.
Interns are included in all invitations to training that any other employee would have access. It is up to the intern to be proactive and accept those opportunities.

The sales academy is open to all interns and having gained a year of experience works in largely in our favor. Future employment prospects within other departments however is down to the relative manager and current head count.
The Culture
A community of 34 interns is ideal as it means you can get to know everyone! Everyone is like-minded and is under the mentality of 'work hard, play hard'.
Standard London prices but affordable!
There is no nightlife on our doorstep but Richmond, Kingston and Central London areas are nearby and easily accessible by public transport.
I joined the Netball team whilst at SAP and a football team was also available.
