The Role
I really enjoyed working with a golbal company and understanding how it works. I have also been able to use this year as an opportunity to understand where my strengths lie.
This was very much dependent on who I worked for. When carrying out day to day activities I didn't feel valued and rewarded for my efforts. I felt most valued when working for a different departement on other projects
My HR Manager was only able to meet with me Three times throughout the whole year therefore I felt that my guidence was not recieved through my suprvisor rather through my own contacts gained throughout my placement year. I reached out to a member of the marketing team for a mentor and recieved most of my guidence from this individual. Within my department I worked with another colleague on event who offered guidence and support
This was very much depenment on the upcoming events along with the time of year. There were times throughout the year when I felt as though I wasnt being utilised as an intern and therefore had to find tasks to do
towards the end of placement I was given more responsibility and was eventually able to organise and manage my own customer event. When reaching out to the marketing departement i got involved in organising the promotional side of the Experience Centre which was a great opportunity
carrying out the events in a corporate world enabled me to understand the importance of organisation and how to organise in the best posible way.As well as this I have learnt how to market in a more professional way
The Company
everyone in the office is really friendly
I felt that my internship wasn't as well organised as it could be. There have been times where there has been no real direction for me as a student and no objectives set- In future I don't think there is a role for a marketing and sales intern within AGS
I went on 1 training course whilst at SAP which gave me an overview of the company and products. I was able to carry out my own personal development when seeking out my own mentor

I think SAP is a great company to work for however at present there isn't a role for me here
The Culture
There was usually something organised on a weekly basis within the intern community
Overall a lot of money was saved due to the food provided free of charge at work. due to the location of the student house, costs were minimilised and overall the cost of living was managable
Great in central- nothing in Feltham though!
