The Role
Some tough moments at the beginning, but with time felt I became more and more competent in the role. Generally very helpful colleagues, introduced to many different elements of their work as well as different service lines.
They were very welcoming, invited me out to meals and introduced me to their own work projects. Also ever so grateful for tasks I helped them with.
My careers counselor took the effort to help me find contacts in EY Norway, where I'd really like to work.
Not at all hectic, but had work 90% of the time
Not much responsibility, but I think this reflects the hierarchical nature of what intern, level 1, level 2, level 3 etc work involves. On the other hand, able to try a wide range of tasks and projects.
Helped me to get a better idea of things I enjoy doing and am good at.
The Company
Some service lines are livelier than others - VAT in Birmingham is absolutely fantastic, Human Capital is friendly but not quite as close knit.
Extremely well organised both on part of EY as a whole and the Birmingham office.
Really felt they were investing in me as somebody they hoped would come work with them.

Company Parties/Events
A great company to start off with. EY is hugely friendly and values its staff. Personally not sure about working in a office all day though.
The Culture
Ate lunch together with some other from B'ham - met some great people. Really fun events at beginning and end of internship.
I guess this depends on which city you're in. B'ham is quite cheap.
Didn't go out, as living away from B'ham
