The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at MUSI. All the people were really friendly which definitely added to the experience
All of my colleagues were extremely helpful. Everyone was happy to spend time and explain topics to me even when they may have been straightforward and basic. This was true of even the senior staff from other departments
I had daily interaction with my manager, but we also had three formal meetings. One to set objectives, another to review my progress and a final meeting to evaluate the internship. The mid internship review was very useful as my manager gave me valuable tips on how to improve.
There was a lot to do both on and off the desk
I had very little prior knowledge about the technical aspects of the work in my department. Despite this, after only a short period I was given appropriate responsibilities within the team
Not only did I gain knowledge about the department that I worked in, I also improved my practical skills such as delivering presentations and communicating effectively to different members of the company.
The Company
All of the workers on my desk and across the office were extremely friendly. We also had good relationships between interns who were spread throughout the company
The internship was very well organised.
We had a week's intense training, a day out in the bloomberg offices and a secondary rotation all within the 10 weeks. These are features that many other internships do not provide, but were extremely beneficial to developing my knowledge and understanding.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Future employment at the company is very appealing to me because I have enjoyed my time here so much. Workers that are a few years older than me have praised the graduate system which involves the ability to experience exposure in a number of departments.
The Culture
The interns all met in the first week of training and staying in contact was very easy throughout
The office is in central london so you cant expect anything less than higher prices.
There are social bars really close to the office
The events we had outside of the office were very fun
