The Role
The role was challenging and difficult but there were very interesting moments, This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions
There are many people within the teams who will treat you like family and will look out for you but as with many companies there are some people who will not appreciate your contributions.
I was not given much if any support or guidance and was trained by other people in my team not my management.
It can take a while to get into the role and learn the ropes but once you have there will always be something to busy yourself with.
There is wide array of things to get involved in and run with.
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] the skills I learnt were essential for the role of someone with 20 years experience in the same role.
The Company
Most people work from home 4 days a week, and when they are in they are often too busy and stressed to socialise, this does completely depend on your team however.
This is a 12 month job with great opportunities for responsibility if you have the drive to take ownership of tasks. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]
There are some great training courses in office. But there were some qualifications that were promised that were not delivered because of 'budget' cuts.

There are limited entry opportunities in the EMEA offices, this maybe different in the USA.
The Culture
Because most people started at different times, bonding took many months and 6 month placements left half way through making the social scene a little dull.
The cost of living for me was okay but if the social scene was a little more lively my budget may have been stretched.
Reading is like most English towns I've lived in, with the right group of friends it can be great, but without them it's not very fun.
Most things are a bit out of the way and require a car but if you have the drive, like everywhere you can find things to do.
