The Role
Sometimes I was quite busy that I generally liked but I spent entire days in the office without anything to do really.
Not too much but the job is structured this way that there are always two other people checking your work.
Generally speaking it was a useful experience, learnt a lot about relationship systems within the office, in terms of skills being accurate and paying attention to minuscule details played an important role.
The Company
Even quite senior people were approachable (at least on the surface), the office is relaxed, it wasn't too tense but you could still feel that you were in a more or less formal context.
We had a charity project that was badly organised, we didn't have much to do certain days and no one did too much about it. I would have expected at least that we would be given some training material when we had nothing to do.
This was a short period of time, and my Buddy was quite helpful but we didn't get an explicit training except for a one day long technical training that turned out not to be too technical.
The Culture
With fellow interns it was easier to get along and we spent some time every week together besides work, with colleagues it was workplace-friendship mainly.
I lived quite close to London, so prices were quite high in general.
I didn't go out so don't know.
There were 3-4 social events during my internship which were attended by many colleagues.
