The Role
The internship experience was very well-organised, and everything went very smoothly during my placement.
Everyone was very helpful and patient especially since I went on the internship with zero background in the service line I was involved in. I felt like I was given a lot of guidance and feedback on my work, which made my time very worthwhile.
My supervisor was very knowledgeable about the service line given her wealth of experience and took time to discuss beyond my internship experience to topics such as my future career choices.
I kept myself busy by asking for work continuously from my colleagues and was fortunate to have people actively involving me in ongoing projects.
While I was involved in relatively minor tasks initially such as meeting notes and document reviews, these helped me develop a better understanding of the work involved and was critical for me in creating an overall picture of the service.
I've developed valuable networking and communication skills, which I feel will serve me well regardless of which industry I eventually choose to enter.
The Company
The environment at EY is very friendly, and everyone is always willing to take time out to share information with you as long as you ask.
The organising team did a great job in making us feel welcome and gave continuous support throughout the internship.
Despite it being a short 6-week internship, I feel like the company invested a lot of effort in training and development through various induction and feedback sessions.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
The chances of gaining an offer from EY post internship are pretty high as long as we performed well during the internship.
The Culture
My office was located behind Waterloo station, and the area is great for reasonably priced local food in the afternoon and drinks at night.
