The Role
Really enjoyed the experience, everyone in the office was really friendly and learnt a lot about the firm and the financial services industry.
Everyone was really friendly and there was a great atmosphere in the office. Worked with lots of different people at different levels (trainees and seniors) so was able to build a rapport with lots of different people.
Guidance was given when Seniors gave me work to do, and were really helpful when I had any queries or questions.
Was given a lot to do, there were times when didn't have anything to do so was able to work on personal case study and group project.
Had a lot of guidance to begin with, but were given tasks to complete by myself. I then had to feed information back to the senior.
Learnt a vast array of skills, didn't really know what Audit entails so gave me a massive insight into what a role in audit would be like in the future.
The Company
Social events were organised in the office and there were drinks at lunch on a Friday. Everyone was really friendly and came to chat to you in the office to see how things were going.
Had an induction week in Birmingham where we got to meet all of the interns from round the country, and then were in the office for 4.5 weeks before reuniting in London for the final two days. During the internship we had to do a group project where we were working with people from different offices. Was lots of support from counselling manager and colleagues in the office.
Massive investment, most expenses were paid for and we were well looked after! We also had an intense training week where we were taught all the basic accounting principles and software stuff.

The Culture
There were just two of us from our office as interns, but we met the first year graduates and spent time socialising with them. On our first day there were welcome drinks and then a bowling event was organised by the office. There were also social events at the Birmingham induction, and in London.
Pretty average, train fares quite expensive but I was travelling from further away.
Was living at home, so didn't really experience the Leicester nightlife!
A bowling event was organsied for us to get to know everyone in the office.
