The Role
I enjoyed the rotational aspect of the internship, being able to gain insights on different parts of the business. Also having the other interns with me was great because we could share our experiences with each other and it helped me fit in very well.
Generally my colleagues were lovely.
When working directly with all the mentors, they were very supportive and quite easy to get along with. They were welcoming and helped me feel comfortable from the first day in thier departments. Management has also been excellent as they have kept in regular contact with us and check in on our progress.
In some departments I found that there was very little to do, and often I had to ask continuously for more work to keep me occupied. However in other departments, the mentors and consultants were very creative and gave me many varied tasks, and in I found I was up to my neck with work to do, which I enjoyed.
It varied from department to department. In some departments I made impotant phone calls to candidates, and assisted my colleagues with alot of the tasks they also complete on a daily basis.
I've gained a varied amount of skills- technical, analystical and general communication and team working skills which will assist me beyond my studies and into the world of work.
