The Role
Great experience in every aspect, and exceeded all expectations and preconceptions I had prior to beginning the internship.
You are given exactly the right amount of responsibility at all times, and your work is recognised.
Help is always available from all levels of seniority.
Very busy most of the time, which is to be expected in such an industry as investment banking.
Appropraite level of responsibiliy given - your abilities are constantly gauged and tested.
I was able to apply many of the skills I had gained throughout university, and found myself completing tasks that I may not have otherwise had the confidence to attempt.
The Company
Very busy but friendly atmoshere at all times.
Citi's HR and Graduate Development teams cannot be faulted with reference to ensuring successful internships.
Internships are more about development, the training will come later. However, there were endless opportunities to improve your skills and become more knowledgable about any aspect of the job.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Managed to secure a full-time job, and was delighted.
The Culture
Many opportunities to meet the 180 other interns, and made many friends throughout the summer who I will meet again next year.
London is more expensive than most other UK cities, but salaries generally reflect this.
Excellent nightlife in London, it serves all needs and interests.
Several functions throughout the summer to meet with senior employees of the bank as well as the other interns.
