The Role
I enjoyed my placement thoroughly, especially because I was doing work that contributed to the firm.
I felt welcomed by my colleagues and never felt at threat by anybody.
People were always readily available to talk to me and assist me whenever I needed support.
Sometimes the work load was quite heavy. Although this was understandble considering the workload for the Manchester office.
I was given a lot of responsibility, I found this suprising, considering my work actually contributed towards the outcome of the audit.
I have learnt a lot from my time at BDO. I am sure it will useful throughout my degree and afterwards.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was great. Everyone was always welcoming and wanted to get to know you.
Except for a few IT problems, there were problems involving the organisation of the internship.
I felt that firm invested a lot of time and training into me. This was evident from the first day to the last.
National Travel
I would hopefully like to receive a job offer from BDO. After my time there, I can certainly say it is appealing.
The Culture
The firm went out of the way in terms of social activities.
Manchester is very cheap and the cost of living is also very low. This is a great advantage of workinghere.
I am from Manchester so the nightlife has always been amazing for me!
There were constant opportunites with a variation of activities.
