The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed both the work during internship as well as the social aspects.
I was welcomed into the firm and felt like a valued member of the team.
I was assigned a buddy and a counselling manager when I started, who looked after me and supported me during my placement
Even if I was assigned to a job that did not have much work for me to get on with, there was still plenty of work that I could do for other colleagues around the office.
I was suprised at how much responsibility I was given during my internship, I was given many tasks were challenging.
I developed many skills during this placement, from interpersonal skills, organisation and increased confidence. It gave me an incredibly useful insight into the career I wish to follow in the future, I would highly recommend the Summer Internship Programme with BDO.
The Company
A perfect mix of both fun and professional
Incredibly well organised, I was given a timetable of exactly what I was doing
They invest a lot in career development
There is an opportunity at the end of the placement to secure a graduate job with the firm.
The Culture
BDO was a very social place to be and there were many intern and office socials organised during my placement.
Birmingham has a great nightlife
There were many, both intern and office socials, organised during my placement.
