  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I thoroughly enjoyed both the work during internship as well as the social aspects.

    • I was welcomed into the firm and felt like a valued member of the team.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • I was assigned a buddy and a counselling manager when I started, who looked after me and supported me during my placement

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • Even if I was assigned to a job that did not have much work for me to get on with, there was still plenty of work that I could do for other colleagues around the office.

    • I was suprised at how much responsibility I was given during my internship, I was given many tasks were challenging.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I developed many skills during this placement, from interpersonal skills, organisation and increased confidence. It gave me an incredibly useful insight into the career I wish to follow in the future, I would highly recommend the Summer Internship Programme with BDO.

    • Incredibly well organised, I was given a timetable of exactly what I was doing

    • There is an opportunity at the end of the placement to secure a graduate job with the firm.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • BDO was a very social place to be and there were many intern and office socials organised during my placement.

    • Birmingham has a great nightlife
