The Role
Slightly disappointing - not as much responsibility as first anticipated
Felt part of the team, although could have been challenged a lot more
No catch ups, personal development areas or goals set at the start. Good support from HR
Pretty quiet and not enough to be getting on with however had some busy periods
Lack of responsibility, the most responsibility was helping build presentations and research but mainly consisted of basic, simple stuff
Worked as a team with other interns on a charity project which was useful in building key skills such as teamwork, relationship management, organisation etc.
The Company
Sociable office. Nice team atmosphere but not as sociable as other teams. Felt comfortable going out for drinks with other interns teams though.
Well set up, everything was organised prior to arrival (email, phone) so didn't have to waste time on admin. Key dates were agreed early on.
Charity work aided development however no personal training and development from line manager/team
Company Parties/Events
Fairly large proportion offered jobs onto the graduate scheme. Awaiting to hear decision however organised well and expected to hear promptly
The Culture
Really good social scene amongst interns - 50 taken on across all business areas. Regularly went for drinks with interns and occasionally with colleagues/graduates
Central London, so fairly expensive. If with team or graduates however, you are not expected to pay for your drinks, can't complain!
Easy walk to Shoreditch, central London, so everywhere accessible
Charity work set up for us. Not much apart from that
