The Role
It has fullfilled every expectation
The team are amazing. So friendly, the whole devision I worked in had was brilliant environment to work in.
I was never afraid to ask for help or advice, and equally always felt they were keeping an eye on me.
I had three projects over the internship, which I did simmulatneously. This meant there was always something to do, and a good balance of work.
I personally produced documents which were read by the MPC, met several board members, and complied several notes which were circulated throughout the bank. I also did alot of data collection which was not always the most exciting, but the data was published in economic journals.
This couldn't have been any more relevant to macroeconomics.
The Company
Chatty and friendly, with lots of postwork socials.
HR was a bit naff, they didn't really know themselves how the graduate programme worked. The department were very organised though.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
The graduate program is muddled, but my manager wants me back. So its on HR now.
The Culture
Every Friday the interns would all go to the pub.
It's in the centre of the City of London.... Spoons was not too far away though.
Expensive
Drinks most nights, we also had a team curry night. Sport is available, but not so much for interns.
