  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It has fullfilled every expectation

  • The team are amazing. So friendly, the whole devision I worked in had was brilliant environment to work in.

  • I was never afraid to ask for help or advice, and equally always felt they were keeping an eye on me.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had three projects over the internship, which I did simmulatneously. This meant there was always something to do, and a good balance of work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I personally produced documents which were read by the MPC, met several board members, and complied several notes which were circulated throughout the bank. I also did alot of data collection which was not always the most exciting, but the data was published in economic journals.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • This couldn't have been any more relevant to macroeconomics.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Chatty and friendly, with lots of postwork socials.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • HR was a bit naff, they didn't really know themselves how the graduate programme worked. The department were very organised though.

  • The graduate program is muddled, but my manager wants me back. So its on HR now.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Every Friday the interns would all go to the pub.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It's in the centre of the City of London.... Spoons was not too far away though.

  • Expensive

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Drinks most nights, we also had a team curry night. Sport is available, but not so much for interns.
