    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It has been a great experience, a summer I won't forget.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was very welcoming and I truly feel like part of the team not just an Intern for 10 weeks.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Weekly meetings with my Line Manager and the encouragement to ask questions and ask for support was always present.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • This varies on a day to day basis, but the majority of the time there was a good balance with the work I was attending to.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was surprised by the amount of responsibility I was given, but definitely appreciate it! Being able to take responsibility for certain tasks and following them through has been great for my knowledge and exposure.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The networking, responsibility, team working and all the other skills and training that I've received over the last ten weeks will definitely help me in my future.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere in the office was great, it was hardworking but also fun at the same time.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Once I started the internship everything ran really smoothly, with regular meetings with my supervisor and weekly plans. However prior to starting the internship the communication with the recruitment team about location/information was lacking.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They provide you with all the mandatory training but also try to make sure you get the most out of your internship by trying to give you the widest exposure possible. I would say they are deeply invested in their interns and you will feel appreciated.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I will be applying to the Graduate programme and hope that I am successful!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • It was great being able to socialise with the other interns as well, an ongoing lunch arrangement and some drinks after work means we were able to share our experiences.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I commuted in via the train only a 5 minute walk to the office and being only a 15 minute walk from the shopping centre makes it in an ideal location. There is also a range of restaurants nearby perfect for socialising.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I am yet to experience the nightlife, but from what I have heard it seems to be a good night out!

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were socialising events outside of work time, like quizzes, drinks etc.

    4/5
