The Role
Each and every member of staff was more than willing to assist and provide help if needed. After the initial settling in period, you are made to feel part of the team.
My manager and the HR team booked regular meetings with me to discuss my progress aswell as any questions/concerns I had at all.
Always had work to do
I was given various tasks and individual projects to complete which kept me busy and enabled me to assist the team as a whole.
The training and skills I have developed have enabled me to be confident with entering graduate positions within Operations. I received training on various individual computer programmes/systems as well as general knowledge on UK financial law and regulations. In addition, RBC provided us with events focused on employability such as CV and Interview workshops.
The Company
The general atmosphere was inviting yet professional
The summer was extremely organised with a planned schedule given to us on our start day.
RBC went above their call of duty of simply providing work experience and offered various workshops to ensure our success of applying to graduate positions. These include CV, interview workshops as well as the opportunity to practise our presentation skills.

The Culture
All students were provided with regular opportunities to meet and socialise with others. In addition the students would also arrange amongst themselves to attend places after/outside work
Although the area is relatively expensive, this is expected for the City of London
More than plenty of places to choose from!!
Various social groups and networking events to attend. Students completed a game of rounders against staff
