The Role
L'Oreal is a great company to work for. It's the first job where I've woken up and actually am excited to get into the office. The people who work here really make it a great place to work and ensure that every day is great fun.
Everyone who works at L'Oreal is great. Everyone treats you like a permanent employee and they all really value and appreciate the work you are doing for them. After 6 months here you will also make friendships that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
This was spectacular. I would rate it higher if I could. Whenever I needed support or advice my manager would always make himself available.
Like in any job work came in waves but never was I exceedingly bored or too busy. I never felt I had to work ridiculous hours either. My manager was always checking how my work was going and ensured that I had the perfect balance when it came to workload.
You are given a very high level of responsibility. However if needs be you are always given the necessary support. I would never have expected to get the level of exposure I did either.
I learnt skills and gained knowledge both relevant to the industry but also learnt things that will help me in any future role I go into.
The Company
There is always a 'buzz' on the floor. Things are always going on and everyone is so friendly.
I was set work on 3 different projects. I was given clear and attainable objectives/ targets on each which made the structure very clear and ensured that I knew what I had to achieve.
I was treated like a normal employee when it came to training. If I ever wanted training I simply had to ask and I would be allowed to attend any workshop I wanted.

Really good. You have the chance to apply for the L'Oreal graduate scheme which is widely regarded as one of the best in the country.
The Culture
Amazing social scene. There are around 70 interns and a social committee who always organise socials. Individual teams also organise social events meaning there is never a shortage of socialising.
London in general is an expensive place to live, but there are plenty of pubs/ bars/ restaurants around hammersmith that sell good food/drinks at a lower than verge price for London.
The nightlife isn't amazing with only a few bars and pubs but you are 10 minutes from central London and really it's the people you go out with that make the nightlife so good. If you work for L'Oreal and go out with colleagues the nightlife will be amazing without a doubt.
Plenty of opportunity. I was invited to join the football team who travel abroad each year for the L'Oreal world cup. A tennis and touch rugby league was set up spring summer also.
